Another one, that deals with the theme of spring.
I a proud of th clear light cone and the realistic lightning bug. It's a male one (yes, there's a difference!), just as the drawing in the enzyclopedia showed it.
Th little plant or sprout is... well, a plant :aww:
I think, the contrast between colorful illuminated pin and dark, black shaded parts comes out nicely.
Sometimes, we have to spotlight the beautiful things in life =D
I am so happy at te moment, I am able to concentrate totally on them. And life seems to be blooming again

wow very nice, i wish i could do traditional artwork like you, i tried doing a self portrait in a psychology lesson and if it's a clear representation of me then i am an ugly drug addict lookalike (in other word's it probably captured me perfectly :XD:) hehe

But dn't worry - self-portraits are horrible for most artists. Mine lokked totally weird, too, and I hated doing it, but my art teacher forced me

ahh, i only take graphics which is photomanipulation and shizz so i don't get to do much traditional stuff... my red streaks in my hair turned into ragged patches... i really cannot draw... although i think i may upload something later for a laugh

As I mentioned I think the light and dark contrast is quite nice. First I thought, I had to add another dark layer of grey or black, but after I had a distant look, I decided that it as just fine. In nature, darkness is not as dark as we sometimes think, I got the impression.
