Artist's Comments

Somehow we should pay more attention to the small things around us...
A light blb actually is fascinating: it produces light - which seems to be everywhere, which we often are not aware of anymore, even thoughit contains so much: any color we may see is included in light, a simple light bulb produces.
Therfore, it is indeed something special.

Blame me, I had to look up the oicture of a light bulb in a diytionary with pictures to be able to draw a realistic ligt bulb. I just could not remember the details of it. It seems to be so simple, but my first attempts lookes odd, so I got refereces.

There's now also a second drawing i the same style in my galery "What TV Connotes Us" [link]

I absolutley love this;
you put a lot of thought to it, and it is magnificently beautiful.

Thank you very much, comments like yours mean a lot to me - because they show me, that someone had a proper look and wanted to know something more about the painting itsself, so he read my comment.
Glad you like it.

i love it >w< beautiful and creative~ wonderful idea and the colors are so well coordinated and it's just perfect~

i messed around with the colors horribly long.. but i have to admit, that there is no organisation behind, no structure. Maybe this is what makes it perfect: the chaos.
thank you very much.

true, that's even better. (: so cool XD

This really is both beautiful and creative in so many ways. I love the fact that so much thought has obviously gone into the concept... and you have mixed the two mediums to great effect. Watercolors are challenging (I know from experience) and you really have done a beautiful job with them!
Light reveals the world to us, allows to see, otherwise all we would see is black, absolute absence of color... Really, very well thought out, and well executed.
On a completely practical note, would it not be better to crop out the spirals at the very top? A small distraction from the beauty of your work that could otherwise be avoided.

Wonderful job!
:iconchaos-of-fubuki:
In fact, I thought about that spiral, too. I tried it out. But the effect was weird: the bulb just hang in the air and I have to admit, that I could not draw it as realistic as the rest of the bulb, therefore, the harmony was destroyed.
thank you very much for this wonderful - very detailed and constructive - comment.
And even more for all those compliments... :blushes:

It's a pity about the spirals then, but I see where you're coming from. It really isn't the end of the world in any case! :aww:
My pleasure, I know how pleased I always am when I get them, so I generally try to put a bit of effort in commenting

What an incredibly good idea XD Ideal use of watercolors, with colors blending like that^^ I'd cut of the right edge right after the paint stops and some of the top, but as far as the actual painting is concerned, awesome!
